Introducing the Rockfield Facility
Cemex owns and operates the Rockfield aggregates facilities located on Friant Road, just north of the City of Fresno. For more than a century, this quarry has supplied the greater Fresno area with a consistent and cost-effective source of construction aggregates for 100 years, utilized for both public and private projects such as critical infrastructure like roads, bridges, hospitals, and schools, as well as homes and local businesses—serving as essential materials for regional development—literally, the building blocks of the Fresno region.
Cemex directly employs nearly 100 people who live in the Fresno region, providing high-quality, high-paying jobs as a source of economic security for their families. Many of them are multigenerational employees or have worked at the quarry for multiple decades. Our employees are from Fresno, where they live, work, and play. Their children attend local schools, shop at the local stores, and congregate in local churches—they are rooted in the community, and we couldn’t be prouder to have them working at Cemex.
