A Planning Process that Invites Public Participation
The process of reviewing the CEMEX Rockfield Modification Project is designed to be open and transparent and invites public participation.
The project’s application is undergoing environmental review. Through this process, the Fresno County Planning Department identifies potential environmental impacts and develops solutions to mitigate them. Before a public hearing is called, a Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) will be released to the public.
We invite your participation in the process and encourage you to learn more about the public benefits of the CEMEX Rockfield Modification Project.
As the lead agency, Fresno County is responsible for the:
Preparation of an Environmental Impact Report (EIR)
Analysis of biological, hydrological, geotechnical, and ecological resources
Reviews of traffic, air quality and drainage impacts
And, before ruling on the project, the public is invited to submit written comments and oral comments to county planners, the county planning commission and the board of supervisors.
